Honduras beat Jamaica 1-0 in Concacaf Nations League group play
Jamaica’s push to stay in the Concacaf Nations League took a setback at Kingston’s National Stadium when Honduras won 1-0 in League A Group B.
Keyrol Figueroa scored in the first half after a quick passing move, finishing past Andre Blake in the Jamaica goal. It was Honduras’ first win over Jamaica in 13 years.
Jamaica had beaten Guatemala in their opening match, but could not follow that up here. Head coach Rudolph Speid made four changes to the side, and Renaldo Cephas went off injured early on.
Honduras were reduced to 10 men in the 68th minute when Dereck Moncada was sent off, but Jamaica could not find an equaliser.
The result leaves Jamaica and Honduras level on three points after two games, with Suriname leading the group on six.
