Australia 2, Brazil 4 after lively friendly in Brisbane

Brazil beat Australia 4-2 in an international friendly at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane, finishing a match that swung back and forth before the visitors pulled away.

Vanderson put Brazil ahead early, but Australia answered through Alessandro Circati and Connor Metcalfe to move in front. Raphinha then levelled from the penalty spot before halftime, leaving the teams tied at 2-2 at the break.

In the second half, Bruno Guimarães restored Brazil’s lead with 20 minutes left. Vinícius Júnior added another late penalty to settle it, with Brazil ending the night in control after a difficult spell against the Socceroos.

Australia stayed in the game for long stretches and had chances of its own, including a late Riley McGree effort that missed after a corner. The result leaves Brazil with a win from a match that showed both attacking sharpness and defensive lapses on both sides.
