Shivon Zilis says Elon Musk ended their relationship suddenly

Shivon Zilis, who works at Elon Musk’s technology company Neuralink and is the mother of four of his children, says their relationship has ended.

She posted on X that it was “hard to go from in love to let go in a week with no warning,” and described the split as sudden. The pair’s relationship dates back to 2016, but they have kept most of it private.

Zilis said she wanted Musk to feel “deeply understood, nurtured, and peacefully loved,” and wrote that their home had been a “safe space” for him. The post also referred to Musk’s difficult early life and his drive to help humanity.

The breakup leaves open questions about what led to the split and whether there will be any further public comment from either of them.
