PSG beat Barcelona 4-2 to share Champions League lead

Paris Saint-Germain beat Barcelona 4-2 at the Parc des Princes, earning a third straight win in the Champions League league phase. The result put PSG alongside Liverpool at the top of the table.

Désiré Doué opened the scoring in the 38th minute, driving into the box and placing a shot into the corner. Barcelona equalised after the break when 19-year-old defender Xavi Espart broke forward and finished a pass from Fermín López.

PSG went ahead again in the 72nd minute. Doué delivered a corner and Lucas Hernández headed it in.

Barcelona levelled once more seven minutes later. Lamine Yamal drove forward and scored from a tight angle, making it 2-2.

Vitinha restored PSG’s lead almost immediately, controlling the ball with his chest before shooting from outside the penalty area. Fabián Ruiz made it 4-2 five minutes later, finishing Achraf Hakimi’s cross.

Doué finished with a goal and an assist and was named player of the match. The victory also extended PSG’s run to 13 Champions League games without defeat, matching a club record.

The win came with injury concerns for both sides. Ousmane Dembélé left early with a suspected hamstring injury, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia was helped off after a knock, and Barcelona withdrew Dani Olmo in the first half.
