Wales host Norway at Cardiff City Stadium in Nations League tie

Wales face Norway at Cardiff City Stadium in a Nations League match that kicks off at 20:45 on Thursday 1 October. Both sides come in after defeats in their previous games: Wales lost 2-0 away to Denmark, while Norway went down 2-1 at home to Portugal.

Craig Bellamy’s Wales have made five changes, with Lewis Koumas recalled. The team return to Cardiff after losing to both Portugal and Denmark, and they will try to steady possession against a Norway side built around Martin Ødegaard and Erling Haaland.

Norway’s lineup includes Ødegaard, who had been a doubt after a knock against Portugal, and goalkeeper Ørjan Håskjold Nyland, who keeps his place despite discussion around the position. Ståle Solbakken has also made changes elsewhere in the side.

The game is being played at Cardiff City Stadium, where Wales are trying to turn a difficult run into a result against a Norway team that has been strong in the campaign. The immediate detail still missing is the outcome of the match itself.
