What’s happening with DStv’s Add Indian package?

MultiChoice will remove five channels from DStv’s Add Indian package on October 31, 2026. DStv is a satellite television service owned by MultiChoice.
The channels being dropped are SET Asia, Zee TV, SET Max, Zee Cinema and WION.
They are currently listed on channels 450, 452, 457, 460 and 461, respectively.
After the change, the Add Indian package will consist of Star Plus, Star Vijay and Colors TV.
The package has provided subscribers with Indian entertainment, films and news. Those who use it will have fewer channels from the end of October.
MultiChoice has said it is refining its channel offering to focus on fewer, stronger channels and reflect how customers consume content.
The announced removals apply to the Add Indian package; no wider changes to DStv’s channel lineup are detailed.
