Apple unveils HomeView smart display in a fresh smart-home push
Apple unveiled HomeView on Tuesday, introducing a new smart display as it tries to build a stronger presence in the home.
The device is voice-driven and built around a revamped version of Siri, Apple’s AI assistant.
HomeView pairs a square, seven-inch touchscreen with a speaker base.
Apple set the U.S. price at $299 and said sales will begin on November 13.
The launch is a new effort in a market where Apple’s HomePod speakers have struggled to match Amazon’s Alexa and Google’s AI-equipped devices.
The hardware could also help Apple deepen customers’ ties to its wider ecosystem of products and services.
The announcement details U.S. pricing and availability, but do not specify when HomeView will be available in India.
